The NDIS will cover $193.99/ hour for Occupational Therapy services, $97/ hour for travel time, and 99c/ KM.
Please contact your private health insurer to determine the rebates for Occupational Therapy, depending on your level of cover.
Medicare benefits are available for up to five Occupational Therapy appointments per calendar year. Rebates are variable. A GP referral is required.
An invoice will be issued after the appointment for payment. The applicable amounts can then be claimed back from the NDIS, private health insurer or Medicare.

The Australian Psychologist Association suggested fees for 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $311.
The Australian Physiotherapy Association has also recommended that "physiotherapy supports to be indexed in line with the Wage Price Index and Consumer Price Index"
The NDIS Specialist Behavioural Intervention Support rate is $232.99 per hour.
The NDIS Psychologist rate is $232.99/ hour.
The Occupational Therapy rate under WA Work Cover/ Workers Compensation is $219.95 for a >60 minute appointment.
The Occupational Therapy rate for ReturnToWorkSA is $234.90 per hour.
When thinking about what a provider costs, it is important to consider appointment length. Shorter appointments may appear less expensive but offer less time. For example, a provider may charge $100 for a 20 minute appointment (e.g. the Medicare OT appointment minimum duration), which equates to $300/ hour.
