• From July 1, 2025, the NDIS 2025–2026 Price Guide (PAPL) implemented no price increase for Occupational Therapists for the seventh consecutive year and halved the rate at which therapists can charge for travel.
• To ensure I can continue to provide a viable, evidence-based practice, therapy and travel prices have had to change.

• The $118.72 per 30 mins therapy rate is based on the Occupational Therapy rate set by the NDIS price guide of $193.99 per hour ($96.99 per 30 mins) in 2019.
• This rate has been adjusted for inflation using the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Inflation Calculator, reflecting a cumulative increase of approximately 22.4% from 2019 to 2025.
• The updated rate ensures that my fees remain consistent with the real value of the NDIS benchmark, accounting for changes in the cost of living and professional expenses over time.

• The $103.72 per 30 mins travel rate reflects a deduction of $15 per 30 mins fee for clinic space hire costs that would be incurred if sessions were held at a clinic rather than in a client’s home.
• This approach ensures fairness and transparency: clients are not charged for clinic overheads when services are delivered in their own homes, and the rate accurately reflects the cost structure of mobile occupational therapy services.

 The Ability RoundTable found that, "for the 2024-25 financial year there is a projected 12.9% difference... gap between the NDIA therapy price limits and the actual cost to deliver therapy supports in the NDIS market" ($219.01 per hour to break even/ no profit).

The Australian Psychologist Association suggested fees for 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $311.

The Australian Physiotherapy Association has also recommended that "physiotherapy supports to be indexed in line with the Wage Price Index and Consumer Price Index"

The NDIS Specialist Behavioural Intervention Support rate is $232.99 per hour.

The NDIS Psychologist rate is  $232.99/ hour.

The Occupational Therapy rate under WA  Work Cover/ Workers Compensation is $219.95 for a >60 minute appointment. 

The Occupational Therapy rate for ReturnToWorkSA is $234.90 per hour.

When thinking about what a provider costs, it is important to consider appointment length. Shorter appointments may appear less expensive but offer less time. For example, a provider may charge $100 for a 20 minute appointment (e.g. the Medicare OT appointment minimum duration), which equates to $300/ hour.
